today i finished watching new york, i love you. i guess i just really wanted to see the comparison between the debate of which film is better- paris je t'aime-the foreign film with well-liked accents in paris, or new york, i love you-the cosmopolitan film with meaningful but random shorts. well, my thoughts of the movie aren't too degrading, because i actually thought new york, i love you was just as interesting as paris, je t'aime to respected perspectives. both films briefly highlighted each city's flaws, encounters, and surprises. i think the people who have seen both films and happened to not enjoy new york, i love you as much liked paris je t'aime more because paris, je t'aime had that foreign mix of romanticism and dramatic line to all of the different stories the entire time, while new york, i love you just framed new york's random mix of scenarios together bluntly, without really tying everything together as well as paris, je t'aime did. admittedly i too, liked paris, je t'aime a bit more (mainly because i am an american who is a sucker for french accents), but new york, i love you honestly wasn't bad (considering that i actually might want to visit this crowded place someday). suit yourself for whichever one you like better because it's only summer time for endless good films. just some thoughts before i go to bed.
goodnight.
