today:
1. biked to the thrift store to check if there were any interesting old film cameras and new coffee/tea cups added to the shelves. i was originally going to take the route that i never took to go home before, but ended up taking a risk to bike to wherever the road took me, and found my way home at a shorter route. score!
2. biked to target for the cotton pads i forgot to buy for mother a month ago
3. biked to vincent's house
4. biked home, ate lunch, made vincent peanut butter honey and oats sandwiches and toasted eggos
5. biked to the library, checked out more dvds, studied the driver's handbook, printed out piano sheet music, printed/filled out job applications
6. biked home
middle school kids (we assumed, since there were a bagillion little ones running around during that after school time) happened to steal vincent's bike seat today. we found out when we walked out of the library to the bike rack. they tried to steal mine, but failed to do so because of the screws; instead he/she/they broke one part of the steel parts underneath my bike seat, leaving my bike seat with one chipped side underneath now. unfortunate...my baby has been touched. you can't trust anyone in this world!!! the library isn't exactly your safest hideout. anyway, i hope whoever did this to us realizes that it's wrong. i mean how could you live with the guilt, knowing you just took something that didn't belong to you? i just don't get it. if you don't want anyone stealing your personal belongings, then why go and steal others' belongings?
which brings me back to the time when i was running at the school track, and left my timer on the floor for 1-2 minutes. when i came back from one round, it was gone. there were all these coaches, football players, parents, and other adults around. i asked around for at least 5 minutes. no one said they saw it. bogus!!! for all we know, any of those people could have pulled a straight face and lied about not seeing or taking it. people lie (to me) all the time. this is one story that explains why i can be such a paranoid worry freak. i like to double check, lock my belongings and take a few glances back every few minutes whenever i get the chance to, for anything.
but overall, i had a pretty interesting day.
goodnight.
