this film starts out by following a brokenhearted singer/songwriter who brings out his guitar and sings his heart out on the streets of dublin. by day, he performs everyone's favorites; by night he sings his original pieces. he then unexpectedly meets a lonely woman who seems to appreciate his originality through his musical talent. the two merge into the beauty of music and begin to write and perform honest lyrics and make soulful sounds together. through a very short journey, the songwriter manages to successfully put that one shot of recording his original folk rock music on the music line with the bit of help from the woman and a few others. in the end, the songwriter somehow stumbles upon content again and the woman ends up with a repaired family. the two who both sought for something new and different initially, managed to accompany each other through life's downsides and mended one another's emptiness in the long run.

i liked the raw shooting of a soothing irish musical film.
