hello, my name is jane. i am a huge fan of any kind of kettle corn, snail mail, most, if not all, coffee-flavored products, rainbow prints, long bike rides, green habitats, and animals.

cave explorers
hah, kevin sure made some delicious sandwiches. they were labeled drugs, poison, liver, and kevin's ( the kevin one was obviously his). hilarious.
cheers
hello shoes, you've almost been everywhere with me.
today, i went on a mini road trip to ucsc to visit karney. the campus really is filled with plentiful twilight-status redwood trees, fit kids, and amiable attitudes, albeit rather a shame that it goes by the infamous nickname as the stoner school. but otherwise, santa cruz is super rad. a million fifth grade science camp memories rushed to the back of my mind the very second i stepped out of the car. we explored the mary-jane (actually called empire) cave in ucsc. (supposedly it has labels of mary-jane everywhere because the cave is where everyone goes and gets high to no tomorrow. yikes, i wouldn't know a thing about that. but no judging!) but guys, what an adventurous hike and exploration all-in-one package deal! the metal stairs that lead down to the main room of the cave is absolutely sturdy and secure. in the cave, we did a lot of crawling! luckily, karney brought two of his flashlights to help us guide our way in the darkness. after our adventure, karney treated us to some really amazing-perhaps the best-ice cream ever at yogizmo's nearby the school. well it's supposedly called "marianne's ice cream," and lucky me, i got the coffee almond fudge flavor and it blew me away! geez, i love ice cream.. we eventually did have a beach picnic like we planned and drank up our glass bottled coca-cola. then we climbed some more rocky surfaces, walked on more sand, and worked our way down to the other side of the beach to check out the ginormous tide poolings.
-this may be irrelevant, but i think i may have messed up my film while unwinding it tonight. i also accidentally opened the lid too. hmm i hope it's not game over.... because it just got EXPOSED. no!! hopefully it's not a big deal. it just breaks my heart to even imagine all those moments i captured on film within the past few days be jeopardized!
overall, i had a really fantastic day. on the ride back, me, danny, and kevin had real bro talk. i haven't had a single moment like what we had in the car in the longest time; somehow tonight was the night. moments like those make me miss good friends who stay by me even throughout long breaks of silence. but sometimes silence is good when it's comfortable silence. also, i'd love to linger around ucsc again.
goodnight, blogspot. tomorrow i'm going to try making macarons with vu! so that means i have to sleep real soon, so i can wake up for a morning trip to trader joe's! hooray
also, i couldn't help but think of this song. she's good!
