yesterday i went on a small hike up alum rock park, and made leaf art with kim and jennifer on one of the benches we found uphill. after the hike, we went to chipotle for lunch and i ordered the vegetarian bowl as usual. the taste of chipotle performs wonders in food. when i got back, the two of them went to the gym while i went running up sierra hill alone. i like to think that sierra hill is my own place because when all things get in the way, running up there is my challenge and reward, whether it is to steal time to myself or just to go up there, it gives me a rather good feeling inside. later in the night, jennifer, her friends, and i went to downtown campbell to see the film i posted below. i really enjoyed the outdoor projector atmosphere with a decent group of people with their lawn chairs and blankets set up in the middle of a parking lot. butch cassidy and the sundance kid is such a clever western film. i do want to watch harold & maude next week. the sundown cinema movie list looks pretty solid for the rest of the summer in my opinion. i wonder if i'm going to end up going every week. they'll be showing mary poppins, ferris bueller's day off, the big sleep, and more. but for now, i need to finish my yoga homework before going to san francisco. today, i will be visiting the california academy of sciences located at the golden gate park, for physical anthropology. it'll be the only extra credit opportunity offered and i'll get to admire the exhibits and jot down a few pages of notes of things that especially seem strikingly appealing and mesmerizing. jennifer says we can stop by a close-by neighborhood for vegan food. that sounds like a deal to me.
later tonight, i'm going to a record release show in downtown san jose with my two good friends kevin and danny. i remember looking forward to this show a few weeks back, and now it is the 21st. my idea of time passing by goes back and forth.
