i don't know what it is. once i really enjoy being in or around a certain place, it's like the next day i automatically have to go back and then i eventually revisit the same area(s) at least three times in a row-like i did with greenhouse cafe in downtown long beach, caffe frascati on first street in downtown san jose, and the alameda area with the recycled bookstore and plethora of coffee shops. each time, i try to do something new (and turn in resumes). today, i sat outside of the san jose museum of art for a bit to stay out of the heat, and then decided to go to
psycho donuts. it's so much fun at psycho donuts. it's connected to the camera 3 theater, which always plays various films weekly, and they have this dress-up -costume-with-props-booth for customers to play and take pictures with. here i am, at psycho donuts, and they have two different vegan donuts: the french toast (banana/maple) and one with a raspberry touch to it (supposedly sour). this girl who's supposedly been to psycho donuts more than 50 times says they change about each month for vegan flavors. i hope so, but even if not, i'm satisfied. it's the closest to
mighty-o's vegan donuts from seattle!
i just picked the french toast. i think it melted my heart... the person working there said they might be hiring and she got hired because she wrote that she makes kickass lattes. so i ordered an iced soy latte and i don't know if it's because she said she makes kickass lattes or because i'm always in for a soy latte no matter what time of the day, but it was kickass iced soy latte alright.
not going to lie, the after feel of having a donut always makes me feel sickening because of the sweetness twirling all around inside, and
i know it should be summer workout season, and grabbing donuts in the middle of the day for a sweet snack isn't the best if i'm trying to work on toning up and all that jazz. but sometimes, or a lot of times in my case, i just can't help it. oh well, not really aiming for particular impressments, ya know. :-)
p.s. haha i am terrible. i didn't even know my brother left to seattle already to see jennifer. i'm finding this out through facebook pictures now. i'm always the last to know and find out things a lot of times. heh.
