spaghetti for two

a short filmed in germany.

"Of the money-grubbing homeless,
to wanton barmaids
and armed grocery bandits.

Or, how a seemingly ordinary day
becomes a significant turning point
for an unremarkable man,
thanks to a minimal shift of fate.

The likeable but lonesome man is on his way to lunch. Awaiting him, the outside world lurks menacingly: in his imagination it swarms with would-be crooks, hussies and criminals. What should have been a routine stroll develops into a dark odyssey, triggering a troubled conflict against himself and against the world... and ultimately, it is the underdog who is victorious."

i didn't think i was going to get the chance to watch spaghetti for two due to the tasks and duties assigned as a volunteer here and there. but fortunately, in between time, i managed to slip into the theater just in time for the first showing! the making of it was shot so professionally. the food looked beautiful. the cast members had strong and clear expressions. the short itself was meaningful in a sense that reminded the audience of how we as individuals can be found guilty for labeling others too quickly on first base. That, in return, can accidentally lead us to forgetting that not all people are bad in society. overall, it was just an exceptional 18-19 minute-short of symbolism, imagery, drama, adventure, humor, and comedy all in a package. the best part of this short is that it has no dialogue at all.

they'll be showing it again at the wish you were here #2, 9 pm block tonight! so get your tickets in advance on the website or purchase them in the theater!
