hello, my name is jane. i am a huge fan of any kind of kettle corn, snail mail, most, if not all, coffee-flavored products, rainbow prints, long bike rides, green habitats, and animals.

this morning i thought my mother had left to the flea market without me. but she didn't. she actually went to work and came back exactly at 11 am like she had told me the night before. i was just getting angsty for some reason. then that's when i knew, if i can't count on anyone else's words in the world, i could still count on my mother's words. the flea market was deserted, so each customer was treated like royalty. after the flea market, i drove my mom home and drove to anh's place. it took me about 18 minutes to get there on freeway. when we were in 7th grade, i thought going to her place was super long of a car ride for some reason. but now that we're older, everything's not that far stretched out. we went to joann's and i got a wooden box and sequins. she got glitter and ribbons to decorate for her friend's going-away-to-college gift. half-priced books had moved locations apparently, so that was saddening. i finally got a wholepuncher at target, so now i can holepunch cardboard and cardstock to make wallets and all. we had an early dinner at sweet tomatoes at four o' clock and that is usually the time that i used to eat with john at the dining hall in long beach. after, she drove us to the fremont hub, and we searched for amia bakery. found it behind nothing bundt cakes, and there were only two small vegan raspberry chocolate cream cakes left behind the glass. i asked for one and me and anh shared half each. it was one of the most moist and delicious cakes ever and plus raspberry, it was a plus! i wanted to try the vegan carrot cake, but they ran out. so this place must be popular after all. it looks super vegan-friendly. the lady working there is kind of corky, so i like her. i think i'd like to get my future birthday cake there. or i'd like to purchase an entire cake just for the heck of it. can't turn down sweets after all. this place is so worth the drive.
