hello, my name is jane. i am a huge fan of any kind of kettle corn, snail mail, most, if not all, coffee-flavored products, rainbow prints, long bike rides, green habitats, and animals.

mmm batches and batches
18 cookies in total
i know, i am so overdue with seattle pictures from may 23-june 2nd, but i will post them someday. i promise.
yesterday, i cleaned my room really late at night.
this morning, kim, jennifer's cousin, came over and drove us to communications hill, and we ran up and down those steep stairs. had a good workout, then we went to trader joe's where i got a job application and all sorts of other things. let's see, i picked up the spa shampoo, coconut milk, sprouted wheat-grain salt-free bread, rice cakes, bran flakes, ground cinnamon, non-dairy spread (vegan cream cheese), low carb dark chocolate, firm tofu, and mini soy chocolate sandwiches! heh, spent about $23 that could last me for quite some time. the fridge has almond milk as well and my baking basket has all the wheat-flour, salt, pepper, rainbow sprinkles, baking soda/powder, brown sugar, and all that i need for baking and such. :-) i'd say i'm pretty content as of now.
i came back and heated up the lunch my mom put together for me this morning while kim went to take a nap on my bed. after lunch, i whipped up some saved recipes on my bookmarks, and decided to stick with classic vegan chocolate chip cookies (except i used whole wheat because that's the kind of flour i bought.)
i mainly followed this recipe and made 18 cookies total:
sweet tooth: vegan chocolate chip cookies
i'm actually really excited to try making vegan banana walnut bread for my mom soon. she used to make banana walnut bread everyday and i'd have to eat it after school because she was always going off on a tangent about how the recipe was changed this time or that day and such. then i grew sick and tired of the banana walnut bread, and stopped liking banana walnut bread entirely. BANANA WALNUT BREAD. i'm repeating it so many times because the smell, words, and everything used to be reminded and brought up in the house religiously. you see, instead of the after-school grandma's-chocolate-chip-cookies shown in shows and movies, it was all about banana walnut bread. that is all for banana walnut bread.
oh and i'm almost finished with watching this movie called norman. here is the trailer if you are interested:
the way it's filmed kind of reminds me of the movie keith (with jesse mccartney in it).
plus, both movies' titles are the names of the main character to each movie, and both characters deal with cancer in their own ways. just thought that was something worth analyzing.
i'm about 30 minutes into finishing norman and so far, it's been a pretty dark and profound, yet comedic movie. i mean i like it, so i would recommend seeing it even before finishing it. so if you're in the mood, watch both!
