hello, my name is jane. i am a huge fan of any kind of kettle corn, snail mail, most, if not all, coffee-flavored products, rainbow prints, long bike rides, green habitats, and animals.

today i went to the maker faire in san mateo with kevin, aleksis, and jimmy. it was my second time and it was just so darn rad with the robotic creations and inventive projects. there were scientists, makers, diy-ers, children, speakers, motorcyclists, poets, musicians, and people from all walks of earth. the diverse environment just made the atmosphere merrier, despite the overly warm temperature that could have potentially started up a monster conflagration alone (even with those already built sky-high technological inventions with fire spurting out every few seconds). i made a scrapbook banner and sewed a jean bag. as for recycled inventions from last year-there was the main stage where people were able to walk into the cage and start dancing to the electrical shock music, ginormous bubble stands, cupcake carts, jeep made out of lego, and more. for lunch, i had a nice falafel sandwich at the one vegan booth i found out of all of the other food booths that i was not too big of a fan of. later in the day, i purchased a few buttons, postcard art, and fabric printed items from some of the etsy sellers as well. that was a super exciting part of the day because i recognized some of them and got to strike up some conversations about how they came up with their creations. i love getting to the bottom of knowing the significance of an item.

i took the caltrain back home and now i am exhausted yet again. you know, that feeling when you're done with school, have to unpack everything, but yet everything is still on the ground in all corners of your room, and you keep going out and coming back dead, and well basically that is all.

so now i'm just unpacking bag by bag and listening to jennifer's christmas cheers music. summer may have started for some, but for me, christmas just hit once more.
