tonight, i ordered the evergreen sandwich at zephyr, which was really just what i make at the dining hall on a regular routine everyday (composed of russell sprouts, tomatoes, cucumber slices, tomato slices, smooth avocado, and purple onions), with the exception of their kind of wheat bread and vegenaise. no matter, it was delicious regardless of the usual jane-creation-from-the-dining-hall. me and john did end up sharing a slice of their toasted vegan apple pie for dessert. it was so, so delicious indeed.
i also purchased a bag of their uncle eddie's vegan cookies in the flavor of cocoa spice and everything nice. geez i am too excited to bake vegan cupcakes and cookies this summer! (where i'll get a reach of an actual oven and what not). i wish it was pumpkin season all year round. i really am craving for some season pumpkin spice goods right now.
after dinner, we went to greenhouse cafe. there, we shared a pot of hot golden chamomile tea and split halves of the cocoa spice and everything nice cookies. in the time being, i read several short news articles.
we just got back to the school cafe because the bus took forever to come back to pick us up in downtown. right now, i have plenty of clothes hung everywhere and the fans turned on because the dryers didn't do justice to the wet clothes this afternoon when we were in a rush to fit in some quality gym time. so my dorm room can pass for a potential laundromat at this hour. i don't think i will be sleeping tonight until i work on at least a fourth of my persuasive speech powerpoint.
tomorrow, the weather is supposed to be mildly warm! me, angela, esther, thomas, aurene, mahina, and john are planning to go thrift store shopping before noon and then grabbing lunch at a nearby place afterwards. when i come back, it'll be strictly business again, hopefully. this may be the last time i'll get to hang out with them before school ends, so i'm pretty excited.
john and i didn't have time to make the trip to trader joe's today, but hopefully we'll get to the espresso cookies soon.
i need to wash my glass cups and clean my room tonight as well...
my mom sent me a picture of the salad she made with peanut butter sauce today. she said she followed some vegan recipe and has been prepping to make vegan dishes for me. she is such a sweetheart. i can't wait to go home.
