today i went to a super rad coffee shop called the library (says it's chosen as one of the top 7 coffee shops in los angeles) with peter. maybe because it was where i chose to sat, but i eyed a bunch of old star trek books on the dusty shelves. i couldn't help but think of an old friend that i used to keep in touch with who was the biggest fan of anything relevant to star trek. but this coffee shop is a definite book-study-sit-down hangout spot. coinky dink that i picked up the student union newspaper today and they were featuring two full pages of worthy hangout coffee spots in long beach and the library just so happened to be one of them. score! me and peter had long conversations in there and then we went back to my school so i could give him a short tour. i ended up swiping him in for dinner at the dining hall and from there, i went back to the common room and i went to the gym with juan, sam, and travi-oso.

i tried studying for my comm exam, but it's impossible to study for me at this time of the night for some reason. until tomorrow....
