last night i went to the campus movie fest by myself because my friends had some studying to do and classes to go to. this traditional event only happens once a year, so i knew i couldn't pass it up even if i was going to walk on the red carpet by myself. but i ended up seeing my peer mentor from my college of liberal arts advising class, so i sat with her! we were given free popcorn, starbursts and chocolate, and water. hip, hip, hooray! there, i met friendly bunches of people, including the president of program council, which is a non-profit organization that helps lay out social events on campus for students! so that got me super excited because i realized that their organization just might be the place where i belong at. score, one step closer to gaining more knowledge about event planning and spending valuable time at meaningful festivities.
long story short for yesterday's movie event, we watched an entertaining show of 16 of the best shorts out of the 80 that were submitted to csulb's movie fest site. i just want to say, film is such a beautiful creation.
