what i've been doing for the past few weeks

I wish I could say I had been working on an incredibly huge project lately, but I haven't been doing anything close to that; ergo that goes out of the answer selection. I'll tell you what I've been up to. I've been playing (not messing) with a homemade ouija board, ghost hunting up Calaveras (since we seemed to overpass Marsh Road), playing taboo at the park, and watching Penn & Teller (a magic show) with my brother, his girlfriend Jennifer, her cousin Kim, and my brother's friends. As for me alone, I've been listening to a lot of Bon Iver, making dark chocolate Ghiradelli brownies for friends, catching up on Drop Dead Diva episodes, and working about three days a week still greeting customers for hours and learning how to adapt to the hectic ambiance of the clothing store. I've met quite a few families from other fascinating countries such as Germany, Italy, France, and Spain just from ringing up at the cash register spot. I like to make conservations when I'm trying to hurry up the removal of sensors. I swear, it makes time go by so much faster and you get to interact with people for fun and actually get interesting responses.

Yesterday, I went to Berkeley for another visit to see Jennifer's old roommate with her cousin and best friend. We had delightful pancakes, french toast, ham, sausage, and scrambled eggs at 2 in the afternoon at Ann's Kitchen for brunch (more like just lunch). The eatery was pretty interesting because it kind of looked like a small cafe, but since the counter for ordering was connected to the kitchen for cooking, it had this whole home kitchen vibe, so it was half of a cafe and kitchen mixed. But we all came out smelling like oil and grease. It was well worth it though with the reasonable prices.

We also got a chance to drive up to SF to find one of the many hidden secret stairways. Yesterday, we hiked several flight of stairs until we reached up to the hill of Moraga. What a masterpiece. Every step had such delicate pieces of mosaic tiles. Once we reached the top, we were able to see such a wide and huge chunk of the bay-I mean with all of the houses all piled up together. Albeit the freezing weather felt like December time, it was such an eye-opening experience that no one should pass up if one were to be in SF for a real sight-see. Of course being just girls, we spent about an hour using all types of different cameras to take pictures of each other.

When we finally finished admiring the tiled steps, we went through a light traffic ride to take pictures in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. There, we met international students from Colorado who were originally from Spain and Japan. God, I love tourists. I mean we're such tourists ourselves, since we've lived in California all our lives and have yet to really stop to take real pictures in front of the huge red bridge until yesterday night.

After we visited the Golden Gate Bridge and park, Kim drove back to Berkeley, and we had a late dinner at Pasta Bene, an adorable small restaurant nearby Jennifer's roommate's place. We ordered delicious warm plates of linguini with different types of meat and vegetables, garlic fries, and calamari, and lasagna to share with each other. What a luxurious night. The plates were unbelievably reasonably priced for a fancy environment, and there was great service all around. How could I not yelp this place?

Oh Berkeley, I will always be in love with you. You have such good food to die for.

To wrap up this post, summer has been rolling and I have just started to pack my first box of mix cds, dvds, and messenger/handbags the other day.
