hello, my name is jane. i am a huge fan of any kind of kettle corn, snail mail, most, if not all, coffee-flavored products, rainbow prints, long bike rides, green habitats, and animals.
July 26, 2011
Wow, there are only a few more days until July gives birth to August, and I wonder how everyone who is leaving before the beginning of September feels as of right now. I still need to get myself a shower caddy, loads of sunblock, and a ton more random containers to hold my small, but growing Kodak film roll collection (for film developing in the near future), favorite dvds, mix cds, and more for down south. Life is changing alright-with a first real job in retail and summer rolling, literally, with driving lessons from my own grouchy and paranoid father who likes to raise his voice a lot behind the wheel. It's not like bicycles. It's not like the way you get training wheels for your first vehicle. No. It's like the real thing and you can't fall (or in this case, crash,) because then it just might be game over. Aside from steering the wheel, the rush of refolding loads of the same styled clothes with logos and greeting customers with the same five redundant tag lines once or twice a week has really been kicking in and I've been adapting quite well to the new retail clothing ambience. I mean, I've been embracing this new job experience AND I'm finally accepted as "the new girl." So, score!
