hello, my name is jane. i am a huge fan of any kind of kettle corn, snail mail, most, if not all, coffee-flavored products, rainbow prints, long bike rides, green habitats, and animals.

a bite of a trueburger and a few sips of pomegranate italian soda

small eats, good weather, gorgeous scenery, refreshing italian soda, sweaty quick hike, randomly discovered teepee house, yummy ice cream, true burger taste- a warm summer day in berkeley.

unfortunately masse's was closed today, so i couldn't try their coffee and berry macarons, but hopefully next time when i visit, i'll be able to grab a hold of one of those beautiful goods in the palm of my hands.

we had delicious potato puffs at gregoire today, and both jennifers were right, the potato puffs really were as heavenly as they described-creamy, buttery..kind of like melted mashed potatoes inside round crispy crunchy crustballs. mmmm.

after our small hike up to the swing-that-was-no-longer-there, we went to the farmer's market to get ice cream at the ici ice cream stand. savory ice cream right there, my friends. the chocolate at the bottom of the cone is always the cherry on top with any ice cream scoop at ici's. today i ordered the earl-grey chocolate chip scoop and boy, my ice cream sure made me smile-a lot (especially after the sweaty steep hike). today was only my second time back at ici's, but the handmade treats that they make sure win my heart!

we grabbed our peach, pomegranate, and strawberry italian sodas at the french hotel. my, my, what an adorable parisian looking cafe. good service, good sodas.

last food stop was at the trueburger in oakland. first time there, so i had to order a "trueburger." delicious as can be. the patty was soft and tasted like steak. the burger was easy to eat, and not too juicy, just the way i like it. if burger king and in-n-out's fries had babies, they'd taste like the fries from trueburger. overall, trueburger was like this cool, small, and cozy burger shack that sits at the corner of the street, ready for hungry tummies to roam in for quick bites.

before the night ended, we took a walk around this big lake-that unfortunately i cannot show any pictures of, because none of them came out clear enough. forgive me, i'm still a beginner with night photos.

in conclusion, i had a wonderful day in berkeley and was introduced to a lot of fascinating places that i'd like to revisit someday again, thanks to jennifer. so thank you again, jennifer. you make my life a lot more interesting, and i think you are quite spectacular.
