today was great. i woke up not too early and found kim sleeping over in the living room. the first thing i did was warm up the six grain porridge my mom makes every morning and then put mtv's show awkward on. especially since i have a tv with no cable, i wait for shows to appear on the site the following day. so mtv.com it was. such a darn great show that's worth 21 minutes of your busy-bee time, really. i spent the afternoon as said below, making the vegan lemon lime cake, and then ended up asking jennifer, my brother's girlfriend, to go to the fabric store with me. no luck, but regardless, i really want to make a bunch of different bow accessories. first, i'll have to find colorful, floral, or neat patterned prints. then i'll head into my fabric projects pronto.
after the visit to the fabric store, i just felt like driving. so jennifer fell asleep in the passenger seat while i drove straight down the roads. road after road, not knowing where i was going, i kept going. somehow i ended up being in downtown campbell after many random turns, one of my favorite places to be at in one of my favorite cities. jennifer and i went to psycho donuts (two locations: one in downtown san jose and one in downtown campbell), a copy-cat of voodoo donuts from portland, oregon and a replicate of might-o donuts from seattle, washington. i tried the rasveganberry donut this time, and it was perfect sour and sweet. i loved it! i still need to try the key lime one.
we walked around downtown campbell and went into a few antique/boutique stores. i really like the recycle bookstore there (two locations: one in downtown campbell and one in the alameda, in downtown san jose.) fun store. i purchased Norwegian wood and sex, love, and cocoa puffs there for cheaper bargains. score! then we went to my favorite orchard valley coffee shop and ordered a soy cappucino to sip on with my rasveganberry donut treat. :-)
i talked to jennifer about life and things that made me unhappy and happy and it was a soothing therapeutic session. i'm working on being back on track with being happy with things.
the most fun store in downtown campbell has to be therapy, a fashion, cards & stationary, home decord store (two locations nearby: downtown campbell and downtown mountain view.) i have so much fun in that store. it's like creativity spilled in every direction. from toy camera keychains to hand-carved wood art plaques to golden spoon earrings and such!
it's nice having jennifer around.
i'm about to go biking up sierra hill with vincent now.
