| definition of my tv dinner |
the counter has a vegan veggie item that's super duper good. i think it's so worth the pay for a better than decent burger in the close-by area. i tried the counter about a week ago for the first time with tiff t. we got great outdoor seating on a sunny day. i still remember how spontaneous the drive was getting there. i am feeling more at ease with driving day by day with all the practice i get from driving off to wrong directions. those mistakes become learning experiences, hence memorized old and new roads engraved into my head. sometimes driving defeats the purpose of biking-that is, minus the idea of quick conveniency. but nevertheless, all things are useful in life. back to the vegan veggie burger, with the basil pesto sauce? it was like the cherry on top.
tonight, me and tiffany v. grabbed dinner at nation's in fremont, which is kind of like an old arcade-like diner with classic burgers and tons of choices of pie for dessert. i didn't have any, because i was pretty sure they were not vegan, but they looked like some so very presentable pie through the glass displays. for my burger, i ordered the harvest, the one veggie item on the menu. i thought the burger was pretty yummy without the dressing and mustard. on yelp it says nation's has a separate menu for vegetarians, but i'm guessing it's offerred upon request. so if i ever stop by again, i'll probably try seeing if there is an exclusive menu. i was able to catch up with tiff v. for hours, after a whole long year had passed by without keeping in contact.
tonight's banana walnut bread is perfection. perhaps it takes two tries to get something right. it's fat-free, sweet, moist, banana-y and not burnt at all. it's fulfilling my bad sweet tooth at 2:30 in the morning. dude i am so bad. well the secret to a good recipe really does include one of the most important ingredients of all time: the ripe bananas! the house smells so darn good right now. thank you recipes.

( i used this recipe this time and added walnuts to the mix )
for father's day, i baked dark chocolate peanut butter cookie bites for my dad ( as shown in the brown box picture )
oh as for summer school life, i am usually at school from 7 am-7 pm attending classes, grabbing quick lunches, and studying. i usually order the same viva veggie wrap from togo's when i'm trying to fit in a quick lunch. the viva veggie wrap is really just a tortilla wrapped item with hummus, dressing, roasted red peppers, lettuce, and tomatoes. though each time, i omit the dressing because the hummus makes it super yummy already. i bet it's easy to make if i had the time every morning before going to school.
